Rethinking Design
“What began as a love for puzzle solving through Zero Waste Pattern-making becomes a way to fix the global fashion industry’s biggest problem.”
- Danielle Elsener // DECODE
Danielle Elsener, founder of DECODE and recent graduate of the Royal College of Art, has developed a complete Zero Waste design system to solve industry problems through communication, sharing, and play. Elsener has dedicated her life's work to proving Zero Waste as a valid and robust design model. For over a decade, she has learned from industry, educational institutions, and self-run initiatives to understand how best to do this. Having formerly worked in industry with companies such as Nike, Reebok, and Ralph Lauren, Elsener has focused her career around creating sustainable change on a broader scale. Her work around A020, the Zero Waste Design System, has recently won the Evian x Virgil Abloh Activate Movement Grant.
