Claire Guiral, also known as ‘Miss Clara,’ creates poetic art pieces in her century-old Dordogne home, transforming everyday items into lush floral sculptures, paper dresses, and fairy houses inspired by childhood stories like Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan. Driven by a love of colour and guided by intuition, her work draws inspiration from nature, literature, and vintage objects.  

Madeleine Ably is the designer behind the French fashion brand SIXSŒURS. A self-taught creative based in Montmartre, Paris, Madeleine draws deep inspiration from her Normandy roots and upbringing in a large family of six sisters. SIXSŒURS embodies her passion for craftsmanship, sustainable practices and vintage aesthetics.

Mary Nuala Flanagan is an Irish antique textile dealer who lives just outside the town of Uzes in the South of France. Twin sisters Florence and Beatrice Champ spent every weekend soaking up the colours, textures and stories at the flea markets and brocantes with their antique-dealer parents. Today, Beatrice works across art and craft, combining the mediums of tufting, ceramics and upholstery. Florence is an artist and painter who creates exuberant, personal artworks.. 

Victor Giannotta, born in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, is a world traveller who found his home in the remote village of Saint-Martin-de-Lansuscle in the Cévennes, France. His passion for wood and traditional craftsmanship began at the Beaux-Arts in Paris and was refined through his work as a woodworker in Lozère. Victor’s creations, ranging from utilitarian objects to sculptures, reflect his deep connection to nature, time, and the land.

Christine Gurtner, a multifaceted artist with expertise in painting, sculpture, illustration, and styling, has been engaged in creative pursuits from a young age. 

Lena Morelli revisits and restores storied antique furniture from her atelier in the village of Saint-Victor-la-Coste in Provence, France. With Danish rope, she weaves intuitively, marrying history with contemporary design, creating unique pieces in a dialogue between structure and materiality.

Jill Walker is a Cheshire-based artist whose work is inspired by the rural landscapes and history surrounding her. Her work explore themes of memory, heritage, and the passage of time, using materials collected during her walks to celebrate the subtle details of everyday life.​

Charlie Scott, an Irish painter and graduate of the Belfast School of Art, returned to his hometown of Falcarragh in Donegal to live and work. Nestled between Mt Errigal and the Atlantic Ocean, his art delves into his personal connection with nature.

Elias Bonet, born in Barcelona in 1977, studied Industrial Design at the EINA School and studied classical and flamenco guitar at the Conservatori del Liceu. In 2009, a transformative experience with master luthier Don Raúl Yagüe ignited his lifelong passion for luthiery.

Michael Birch Pierce is an innovative textile artist based in Richmond, Virginia, who is known for transforming traditional embroidery into a powerful medium of self-expression. With roots in drawing and illustration, their work has evolved from fashion design to fine art, utilising both hand and machine embroidery to explore themes of identity, queerness, and self-discovery. 

Zaira Zarotti is a Venetian fine art photographer, visual storyteller, writer and ceramicist living and working in the Venetian countryside. We are honoured to share an excerpt from her debut book, Venice between Kitchen and Atelier: Recipes Handed Down for Artists and Food Lovers, published by Elzeviro Editions (2024).  

We explore the third edition of Homo Faber. The Journey of Life, organised by the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship and held at the Fondazione Giorgio in Venice.

• Please be aware that with current COVID-19 related postal delays your magazine should arrive within 4-6 weeks of the order date. Due to restricted / greatly reduced flights and local lockdowns we are experiencing 50-day delay for New Zealand and Australia deliveries. The recent Royal Mail hacking has also further impacted shipments - we ask that you bear with us. We are a tiny team of two managing all of the behind-the-scenes at FAIRE and we will always strive to find solutions.

RETURNS & REFUND POLICY

• We are currently unable to exchange or refund items that have been shipped and/or delivered. If for some reason you have received a defective / damaged item or it is not as described please contact us on customerservice@fairepress.com.

• Please note carefully that you are responsible for accurately and correctly entering your shipping address. Should you submit an inaccurate shipping address that forces the package to be returned to our fulfillment warehouse (due to inaccurate information) or an incorrect address that results in your pakage being lost through the postal company- you will incur a restocking fee. We can resend your item but you will have to pay for additional shipping fees which include a restocking fee of 4.5 euros which is subject to increase due to rising costs at fullfillment centres.
